It’s been a while since we last published an article on WUNDERDING. This is not because of the wonderful warm sommer we’ve been experiencing… far from it. Now that WUNDERDING has celebrated its 3rd birthday, the time has finally come for a realignment.

In April, we were accepted for the program “Rocking Science Journalism” by the Media Lab Bayerns and the Bavarian State Centre for New Media (Bayerischen Landeszentrale für neue Medien) – funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung. We started this journey in the company of nine other science journalism startups and you can read more about them here.

In the course of the program we have steadily been diving even deeper into the startup world. However, instead of reporting about other fascinating startups, WUNDERDING itself has now taken the path of the lean startup. As such, the last months have been filled with “ideation”, “pivots”, “customer segmentation”, as well as webinars and the monthly coaching sessions in Munich.

We will be presenting our first results on the “Rockets & Unicorns“-stage of the Medientage München – as well as on – at the end of October. Nonetheless, we’re happy to let you know that we’re currently focussing on a possible synthesis of science journalism and science education.
