Startup Accelerator MassChallenge – Switzerland program

MassChallenge claims to be the most startup-friendly accelerator on the planet. No equity and not-for-profit. Started 2010 in Boston they also have programs in Switzerland, Israel, Mexico and Great Britain.

Key facts:

  • 4-month programs: mentorship, office space, education, network & community, and other resources for early stage startups
  • Open to all: any early-stage startup, in any industry, from anywhere in the world
  • founded 2010 in Boston, since then 835 start-ups went trough the acceleration programme
  • Awards Switzerland accelerator: 1 Million CHF (Swiss Francs) which is divided between 10-20 companies into 100k and 50k equity-free prizes

WUNDERDING: MassChallenge started in Boston in 2010 and now you have also programs in Israel, Mexico and Great Britain. Are there some success stories from previous accelerators?

Ksenia Tugay: Yes, for sure. We have four most famous alumni: Handy, Turo, Localytics and Flywire and there are hundreds of other successful startups worldwide.
